“Hamilton” Coming to Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in 2023

APPLETON — The hit Broadway musical “Hamilton” returns to Fox Cities Performing Arts Center to highlight its 20th anniversary season.

The PAC announced its lineup for the 2022-23 season at an in-person reveal event on Monday.

“Hamilton” made its Wisconsin premiere at PAC in October 2019. The musical, which won 11 Tony Awards in 2016 and began touring the country in 2017, will return to Fox Cities for a two weeks from 9 to 21 May. , 2023.

In addition to “Hamilton,” other touring musicals and plays coming to PAC as part of the Kimberly-Clark Broadway Across America – Fox Cities series are “Jesus Christ Superstar,” Disney’s “Aladdin,” “SIX”, “To” by Harper Lee. Kill A Mockingbird”, “Cats” and “Ain’t Too Proud – Life and Times of The Temptations”.

As in the past, members of the public have the opportunity to become season ticket holders for the Kimberly-Clark Broadway Across America – Fox Cities series. This year, there’s a five-show subscription option that starts at $214 and includes all Broadway touring shows except “Hamilton” and “Cats,” and a six-show subscription option that starts at $264. $ and appends “Hamilton”. Due to its brief run of only five performances at PAC, “Cats” is not included in any of the subscription packages.

According to the PAC, season ticket holders receive perks including guaranteed seat locations, access to invite-only events, priority offers, and a five-month payment plan option. Beyond its Kimberly-Clark Broadway Across America series, PAC has two other series that bring performances to Fox Cities. Boldt Arts Alive! The series focuses on diverse communities and “a variety of shows that provide a window on the world,” according to PAC’s website, and the Spotlight series hosts shows in PAC’s smaller, more intimate Kimberly-Clark Theater.

To celebrate PAC’s 20th anniversary and continue the return to live theater that began with the 2021-22 season, the 2022-23 Bold Arts Alive! and the Spotlight series will emphasize the theme of community.

“We’re going to explore what community means and why it matters,” Van Laanen said. “We are having conversations with our community partners about how we can feature performances, artists, content that will be especially meaningful in informing those conversations about creating a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone feels they belong.”

Only one show is scheduled for Boldt Arts Alive! Series – The New York Tenors with the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra, February 11, 2023. The Spotlight Series has two scheduled shows: “Yesterday and Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience” coming November 17 and a Broadway cabaret-style concert veteran Adam Jacobs titled “Right Where I Belong: Songs of Alan Menken”, coming June 3, 2023. Van Laanen said additional performances would be added to the series in the coming months.

PAC is following advice from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is continuing ongoing conversations with local public health officials to determine any changes or modifications to its COVID-19 protocols over the next season, Van Laanen said. Tickets to Boldt Arts Alive! Series and Spotlight Series go on sale to the public Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Tickets can be purchased at ticketmaster.com, by calling the box office at 920-730-3760 or by visiting the office at 400 W. College Ave. Groups of 10 or more interested in purchasing tickets for a performance can reserve their seats at foxcitiespac .com/groups.

Van Laanen warned PAC guests to beware of fraudulent ticket sites. The only official site for purchasing tickets for PAC shows is Ticketmaster. Tickets for upcoming individual shows at the Kimberly-Clark Broadway Across America – Fox Cities series during the 2022-23 season aren’t yet available, so not all sites claiming to sell them are legitimate, Van Laanen said.
