Maxwell Street Klezmer Band announced at Metropolis Performing Arts Center

Enjoy an evening of entertainment hosted by crowd favorite band Maxwell Street Klezmer, featuring Cantor Pavel Roytman at the Metropolis Performing Arts Center on March 31, 2022.

An evening of entertainment hosted by Chicago’s legendary Jewish music ensemble that tips the scales in all directions: from the Yiddish Theater to the American Big Band, from the Shtetl to the Symphonic. The Big Band klezmer will feature Cantor Pavel Roytman singing favorite songs like “Belz” and “Rumania”, as well as vocalist Lori Lippitz. Under the direction of violinist Alex Koffman, classical sophistication meets theatrical entertainment in a musical evening that will leave you smiling.

COVID Protocols: All guests will be required to show proof of vaccination (along with photo ID) to enter the theater, or show proof of a negative covid test as well as wear a mask when in the theater in the theatre. For more information on covid protocols, visit the Metropolis website.

The Maxwell Street Klezmer Band, featuring Cantor Pavel Roytman, will take place on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online at MetropolisArts.com, by phone at 847.577.2121 or by email at [email protected] The Metropolis ticket office is currently open Monday to Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. During performances from Monday to Saturday, the ticket office will remain open from noon at least until the start of the performance. On Sunday, the box office will open one hour before show time.

Maxwell Street Klezmer Band, with Cantor Pavel Roytman, is part of the Metropolis Concert Series.
