The Antelope Valley College Theater for Young Audiences’ Theater Arts Department’s spring production, “Patchwork,” by Carol Lauck, will premiere at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the AVC Performing Arts Theater. All the places are reserved.
A collection of old-fashioned fables and contemporary fads, “Patchwork” is stitched together. Promising at the start to “stir your laughter and tickle your noodle”, the actors take on multiple roles in a number of scenes. Each is introduced by a ready-to-sew patch, with the finished quilt presented at the conclusion.
As part of the Theater for Young Audiences of AVC’s Theater Arts Department, this production will tour elementary schools in the Antelope Valley area from late March through May. These public performances include a post-show meet and greet with the cast and a pack of activity sheets to take home.
“Patchwork” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. For more information, visit www.concordtheatricals.com
Adult tickets are $8 each. Up to five children 12 and under can participate for free when accompanied by a paying adult.
