Legacy Chorale – Christmas in November

The concert features both the Legacy Chorale and the Legacy Youth Chorale, the new youth choir. Three performances are scheduled: 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 11 at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, Nisswa; 7 p.m. Saturday, First Lutheran Church, Little Falls; 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts in Brainerd. Free entry. Donations appreciated.

Randall Reid is the headliner for the Stand-Up Comedy event Friday from 8-10 p.m. at Yesterday’s Gone in downtown Brainerd. Gary Hirsch is the emcee with special guest Pat DeGeest and Chad Gallo. General admission is $20 each. Tickets are available online and on Yesterday’s Gone. Doors open at 7 p.m. Reid is described as a “booming comedian… he grew and expanded his outlook on comedy. With multiple final appearances in some of the toughest comedy competitions Twins Cities has to offer, he uses his unique perspective to strike a balance between the lightest and darkest subjects. Whether it’s battling his young daughter or retrieving his friend from tough situations, Reid will find a way to leave a smile on your face.

An album release party for a debut release of “Moon Child” is scheduled with Kelley Smith from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday at Ya Sure Kombucha in downtown Brainerd. Smith will be joined by Drew Peterson, who plays a Mule resonator guitar, and fiddler Evin Kaukos from a folk rock band based in southern Minnesota. They plan to play songs from the “Moon Child” album with other originals yet to be recorded. The cost is $15 and all proceeds will go to the artists.
