Physicist Neil deGrasse Tyson will speak at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center

World-renowned astrophysicist and leading space commentator Neil deGrasse Tyson will address Distinguished Speaker Series subscribers at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, November 14 at 8 p.m.

deGrasse Tyson will discuss recent developments in NASA, the US Space Force, space tourism, and the effects of physics on everyday events.

deGrasse Tyson achieved science superstar status through his television, podcasts, journalism, social media and books, and as director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.

He was a vocal critic of science skeptics.

deGrasse Tyson’s lecture is the second in a series of six lectures presented by the Distinguished Speaker Series. It will be followed at Redondo Beach by Admiral James Stavridis (January 26), Cristina Mittermeier (February 8), Bob Eubanks (March 21), and will conclude with Ken Burns (May 4).
