The SSU Performing Arts Academy will host an Open House for Fall Enrollment

August 10—The Shawnee State University Performing Arts Academy (PAA) is accepting new registrations for its fall classes at an upcoming open house on August 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. During the event, parents and students can meet the professors, tour the facility, and learn more about the courses offered. Offered on the SSU campus, AAP classes serve as an introduction and instruction for musicians, dancers, and actors.

PAA courses are available for ages 3 to 17 in beginner to advanced technical levels. Classes include ballet, jazz, contemporary, drama, musical theatre, popfunk, acrodance, guitar, piano, tap, creative movement, and acro/popfunk for boys. Adult lessons are also available in a number of subjects, including clogging, ballet, jazz drama, guitar and piano.

The AAP teaches the National Training Program in Ballet Theater and Acrobatic Arts with certified instructors. The program is also a member of the Ohio Dance Masters and has professional instructors teaching each of its classes.
