About the role

The Business Development Manager – Performing Arts will be the most experienced and commercially focused manager of TCL’s Performing Arts portfolio for the UK and Ireland. This role will suit a dynamic, sales-oriented leader with the ability to build and establish direct relationships with all relevant stakeholders such as education and academic institutions; major arts organizations in the public and private sectors, government departments and regional and national media.

The Business Development Manager – Performing Arts will have overall responsibility for managing the development and growth of the business development management team and local representative network, as well as the design and integration of TCL objectives and KPIs in the areas of market share, customer acquisition/retention and satisfaction. .

Demonstrating a strong commitment to data capture analytics, the Business Development Manager will strive to deliver industry standard dashboards and provide ongoing reporting, analysis and insights to inform strategic and operational development.

Working closely with the Director – UK & Irish Markets, the Business Development Manager – Performing Arts will focus on driving growth through the acquisition of new business and will work closely with our Account Management teams to further improve the retention rate of key customers and contribute significantly to the creation of the sales strategy in the UK and Ireland.

About you
  • Experience leading and developing a sales team within a performing arts organization
  • Proven success in developing and implementing sales strategies in new and existing markets and channels
  • Evidence of achieving sustainable and measurable growth in key market segments
  • Experience working with private and public sector educational organizations
  • Experience working and influencing successfully within a matrix structured organization
  • Experience using data analytics to create sales strategies
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, in addition to exemplary organizational skills
  • Demonstrable experience of influencing key stakeholders
  • Experience designing pricing strategies and improving bottom line contribution
  • Highly motivated and goal oriented with highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Experience in implementing cross-departmental management restructuring
  • Digitally focused with experience in sales pipeline reporting solutions and data analytics
  • Proven track record in successfully driving change management
  • Understanding and/or experience in an Ed-Tech environment
  • Experience in risk management
  • Excellent communication skills and evidence of public speaking experience, both online and face-to-face
  • Ability to work under competing deadlines and priorities
  • Ability to write compelling and concise reports for senior management and the board
  • Budget management experience

The starting salary for Business Development Manager – Performing Arts is £70,000 per annum + incentives. More details will be provided during the interview process.
